After spending 32 years in the US Government I decided in December 1996 to give it up and retire. Spent 10 years in the US Army during which I seemed to travel almost around the world. Had been to several bases in and around the lower 48 states. Overseas I have been to Canada, Hawaii, Guam, Japan, Korean, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland. Hopefully didn’t leave anyone out.
With my time with the Department of Veterans Affairs I served at six different VA Hospitals. Started in Bonham, TX and then went to Marlin, Texas. From Marlin, TX headed north to Columbus, OH then to Lincoln, NE and from there to Chicago, IL. My final resting place was the VA Medical Center in Pineville, LA.
Now I just enjoy life and spend time with my beautiful wife, church and visiting family that reside away from here. Between my wife and I we have 11 grandchildren, 8 of which live in Texas and 3 that live in Florida.
